Neary Heng grew up working in the Killing Fields of Cambodia. From age five until late in her teens she lived imprisoned in refugee camps, witnessing unimaginable crimes. Since that time, she has traveled to America to start fresh, learning a new language, earning a college degree and writing a book about her life. Neary believes she is proof that when you understand who you are, no one can take away the heaven that lies within you. Today, she reaches out to chat with people from all over the world who share in her belief that regardless of challenging circumstances, we all have the power to change and help make our world a better place. What an honor it was for me to spend time with Neary for THE PARADISE WITHIN podcast earlier this month, as I discussed how being more present impacts the way we view the world. Enjoy!
